# EPUB ruby annotation inspection fixture

Created for the BookTranslator article `translate-epub-ruby-annotations` on
2026-09-23. All sentences are original and may be reused with attribution to
BookTranslator.

Files:

- `source-cases.xhtml`: four source markup patterns.
- `review-candidate.xhtml`: editorially chosen candidate transformations.
- `ruby-pair-audit.csv`: the decision and review record for each pair.

This fixture demonstrates a review method. It was not passed through
BookTranslator or another translation product, and it is not a complete EPUB
package. The candidate is not a claim that every editor should make the same
language decision. Inspect the DOM, annotation role, language declarations,
CSS, EPUB validity, and target reading systems for a real publication.
