Read Aozora Bunko: reader files
BookTranslator, 2026-09-10

checked-editions.csv: three official work cards matched to newly fetched ruby ZIP files on 2026-09-10. URLs were read from the live work cards. ZIP integrity and strict decoding were checked in memory. No source novels are included in this download. Byte counts and hashes describe the downloaded ZIP files, not story length or text quality. A strict UTF-8 decoding error is an expected mismatch for these Shift-JIS files, not evidence of a damaged book.

reading-worksheet.csv: fill in one copy for the work you plan to read. Every field begins not_checked. Record observations rather than assuming the three-file results apply to your edition, reader or conversion. Opening/middle/end sampling is not a substitute for complete proofreading.

ruby-practice.txt: original short Japanese teaching sentences, with explanations. This practice file uses UTF-8, not the Shift-JIS encoding of the three official source files. It is not a complete official-format novel or a tested reader/converter fixture.
